You probably know that visitors (also known as traffic) determine the success of your blog. The more visitors, the more successful your blog which is characterized by increased income or an increase in the number of subscribers. Unfortunately, your blog visitors do not change or tend to decrease from day to day even though you are diligent in publishing posts.
Instead of stressing about the condition, it's better for you to do the following seven simple steps.
1. Evaluating blog speed
Evaluate the speed of your blog on the Pingdom Website Speed Test. If the time to access it quickly, you can move to the next method. Otherwise, look for the cause. If hosting is the cause, move your blog to another hosting provider so that your blog loads faster.
Please remember, the speed of your blog affects the ranking of your blog in Google search results. Why? Because Google includes blog/website speed as one of the ranking factors in its algorithm.
2. Make quality posts
The best way to increase traffic is to create quality posts. If you think it's hard, throw it away. You can easily create quality posts from your experiences.
If you are a blogger who explores the topic of self-development, you can make a post about your success in managing your time. If you are still having problems with time management (eg procrastinating), you can also make a post about the reasons people procrastinate. The reasons discussed in the post are the causes of your procrastination. Not complicated, right?
Your quality posts must have an interesting headline. The more interesting the title, the more curious people are to read it. Otherwise, your quality posts will be “lonely” because no one is reading.
The good news is that it won't take you long to come up with a catchy title because there's a lot of “cheats”.

4. Aim for long tail keywords
You're not getting visitors from keywords that are high in monthly searches? If so, change your strategy by targeting long tail keywords. This keyword is characterized by having 3 or more syllables with few monthly searches (eg 100-500 searches). To find it, you can use Google AdWords Keyword Planner.
By targeting long tail keywords (LTK), the chances of your blog entering page 1 of Google are greater. Why? Because usually LTK is not ogled by big bloggers so the competition is low on page 1 of Google.
There are not many visitors who come from LTK. However, if you target a lot of LTK, the payoff will be big. As the saying goes, little by little it becomes a hill.
5. Interact with visitors
You should also interact with visitors if your blog is an authority blog. You do this by replying to comments or emails from visitors. Otherwise, visitors will be disappointed so it is not impossible that they no longer want to visit your blog. As a result, your blog visitors are reduced.
6. Using social media
Be active on social media, for example on Facebook and Twitter. Update your status on both social media by informing your posts. The more posts you inform, the more your friends will visit your blog. In addition, this activity will help you to diversify your visitor sources so that you don't just rely on search engines.
7. Comment on other people's blogs well
The last step is to comment on other people's blogs that are well-topic. The goal is to attract the attention of blog owners and visitors to visit your blog. In addition, this activity will increase the number of backlinks to your blog, both dofollow and nofollow.
By knowing the seven ways above, you don't have to stress or wonder to many people about how to increase your blog visitors. What you need is to do all (or some) of the above consistently so that sooner or later your blog visitors grow. Trust me, it works! What simple way will increase blog visitors?
